Refund Policy
I. General Refund Principles
Official Withdrawal Date:
The refund percentage is calculated based on the date the official Withdrawal Form is received and processed by the Registrar’s Office—not the last date the student attended class.
Semester Duration:
This schedule applies according to the academic weeks of the standard academic term (typically 15 weeks).
Non-Refundable Fees:
This policy does not apply to fees explicitly designated as non-refundable (as detailed in Section III).
II. Tuition and Mandatory Fees Refund Schedule
The following schedule applies to tuition, lab fees (where applicable), and general mandatory fees:
(Note: You may insert the actual refund schedule table here if needed.)
Note:
For course drops (dropping an individual course while remaining enrolled at the University), refunds are processed based on the Add/Drop deadline for the specific term. The schedule above primarily applies to complete withdrawal from the University for the term.
III. Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are non-refundable once paid, even if the student withdraws before classes begin:
Application Fee:
Covers the administrative costs of processing the application.
Admission/Enrollment Deposit:
Used to secure the student's place in the class.
Non-Term-Based Service Fees:
Including fees for ID cards or health insurance premiums (if the insurance provider’s policy does not permit cancellation or refund).
IV. Withdrawal and Refund Procedures
Formal Withdrawal Request:
The student must complete and submit the Official Withdrawal Form available through the Registrar’s Office or the University’s online portal.
Account Review:
The Financial Affairs Department will review the official withdrawal date and apply the refund schedule to determine the eligible refund amount.
Processing Time:
Refunds are typically processed within 4–6 weeks from the date the withdrawal is officially approved.
Refund Method:
The refunded amount will be credited back to the original source of payment.
This policy is subject to change by CalUni at any time and in accordance with applicable federal and local regulations.
